Family Owned with Charity in Mind

Lover Lips Yachts, is committed to giving back to our local community. This is a recent example on why we give.
BAD DAY IN PARADISE
It is called La Passion.
An odd name for a housing settlement.
Especially a poor colony.
Deprived dwellings for the forgotten.
Shanty shacks for single mothers with children.
Hovels of homes for the disabled.
Me? I live right at the foot of Paradise. A Nirvana of Nature. The Sea of Cortez. The aquarium of the world. And I was having a bad day. Even positive people have painful periods!
But I digress.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas my husband and I decide to give 20 baskets of food.
In passing we mention it to a couple of our friends.
Just sharing. No requests for contributions nor cash.
Not from a church nor from the government.
Just from people helping people.
The ripple effect turns into rivulets and gushes to a river for good.
Twenty turns into eighty baskets of sustenance!
My bad day?
What bad day?

About us

How we got started

When I returned back home to La Paz,  I wanted to surprise my husband with a private personalized yacht cruise.

I grew up with this Nirvana of Nature, Aquarium of the world called the Sea of Cortez and I wanted to share its beauty with him.

I looked and researched most of the yacht charter companies in La Paz. There are many good ones to choose from. However, they were all not within my budget. These mega yachts were great for large groups or for people who could afford the huge price tag.

The local popular boats called “Pangas”, provided for a great cultural experience and everyone needs to try them at least once, but I was looking for something in the mid-market range.

When the opportunity presented itself, I decided to start a Mexican  owned  yacht charter company offering customized cruises at an affordable price that would create an inspiring experience for my clients.

How we got our name
How we got our name.

My husband’s grandson David Leslie meets me for the first time. He is only 4 and quite shy. He glances at my face and turns away quickly. He looks at me. Checks me out closely. Turns away again. He is clearly fascinated by my bright red lipstick! Once again, he throws a peek at me. Spontaneously he says, “Your name is lover lips!” To this day he still calls me, “Lover Lips.” A trademark of many Mexican women is their bright red lipstick. In honor of David and every Mexican woman’s bright red lipstick, this boat is christened LOVER LIPS. And, this is how our company got its name.
